Calvin Malone

Calvin (Buster) Malone    March 19, 1907 - October 12, 1972
Parents: Amaratha & Madison Malone of Live Oak, Florida
Mr. Malone worked for the City of Pompano Beach for twelve years

Minnie Mae Malone

Minnie Mae Malone     May 27, 1912 - Current Resident
Parents: Homer & Rena Waters of Vadalia, Georgia. Mrs. Malone came to Pompano Beach in 1919. The Malones were one of the first families to join Mt. Calvary Baptist Church.  She was honored with a Proclamation from the City of Pompano Beach,  May 2007(Celebrating her 95th Birthday). .

Ira Blue

Essie Blue     November 16, 1916 - May 25, 2003
Occupation: Hair Stylist, Land Owner
Mrs. Blue was an early example of what perseverence and dedication can accomplish. She was a true enterpreneur.

Johnson Blue

Johnson Blue     August 31, 1911 - September 19, 1998
Occupation: Jeweler, Barber, Taylor, Taxi cab station owner.

Treacher H. Wooten

Treacher H. Wooten      April 3, 1920 - December 18, 1975
Born to the late Mr. and Mrs. Dennis Hankins of Monticello, Florida. She married Willie Wooten, Sr. in 1920, to this union nine children were born, three of whom preceded her in death. Two daughers: Frances Scruggs and Annie McGowan, Four sons: Daniel, Elijah, WIllie Wooten, Jr., and Dennis Wooten.

Daisy Lee Brown

Daisy Lee Brown     December 24, 1907 - June 29, 1978
Born to the late Clara and John Lee in Columbia County, White Springs, Florida. At age fourteen, she married Elijah Brown who preceded her in death. Mrs. Brown moved to Pompano Beach, Florida where she became a member of Salters Chapel A. M. E. Children: Eva Mae Norris, Daisy C. Rogers, and Martha C. Johnson are her loving daughters.

Lriminta Cason Brinson

Ariminta Cason Brinson    March 23, 1915 - October 8, 2007
Born to the late Mancy and Mary Blake Cason in the beautiful Sunshine State, Wellborn, Suawannee County, Florida; she was the third child of nine children. She was named for Harriet Tubman, who founded the "Underground Railroad."  She was a member of Mt. Calvary Baptist Church under Rev. James E. Coleman.  Ms. Brinson was united to Calvin Brinson and to this union no children were born. Along with the love of her husband, she devoted her life to caring for her younger sister, Eunice.

Isaiah Rolle

Isaiah C. Rolle    September 6, 1922 - September 12, 2000
Mr. Rolle began his early education at Pompano Colored School and received his high school diploma at Booker T. Washington in Miami, Florida. He received his BA at Bethune-Cookman College,  thereafter being called into active duty in the US Army. His Civic Affiliations were: Pompano Masonic Lodge #409 F & M, Holy Royal Arch Chapter #164, Knights of Templar Mason #39, Kappa Alpha PSI Fraternity, Inc. (Polemarch 1996), and many more activities were completed on his watch.
